SEOT: Durian ice cream – EEEtheWorld
Gross! One of the most smelly, prehistoric, humongous fruits in Thailand is called a durian. It’s middle fruit is supposedly sweet, but the rest of it is so foul smelling it is forbidden to take onto public transportation. Regardless, I thought if anything can make something yummy, it’s ice cream. No. ThIs featured Asian flavor of the month is nasty. Ick to durian anything for me. At least now I know a food I can list that I do not like in addition to canned peas.

Pink lunch – EEEtheWorld
Spring is here and radishes are one of the first sprouts of the season. They give a refreshing bitter boost to any lunch. This pita took less than five minutes to prepare. It’s naan I heated in the oven for 3 minutes, spread cream cheese and chobani plain Greek yogurt, then added shredded carrots and radishes. Slathering this with pink beet hummus adds aesthetic to this already beautiful lunch and topping with peanuts gives it a little crunch. Bon appétit!

Persimmons – EEEtheWorld
I woke up this morning, early at seven,
for sun salutations to start my day in heaven.
Then perked up the coffee and right on the shelf
Was a perfectly ripe persimmon, I could eat myself.
Spicy and fragrant, vibrant orange and sweet
This seasonal persimmon will make a perfect breakfast treat!
So I grabbed some cinnamon, honey and butter,
And my black iron skillet- cook with nothing other.
I sauteed the fruit for ten minutes time,
they crisped up deliciously- so good almost a crime.
The oatmeal was easy- just a minute in the mike
a smidgen of salt and add cream if you like.
After the persimmons were finished I placed them on top
then dove into this winter day starter, which I loved a lot!
